WHAT MAKES US HAPPY? HOW TO LIVE  HAPPIER LIFE..

As humans, there are certain things that we need in order to feel happy and fulfilled. We can’t escape how we’re wired, and since we’re creatures whose quality of life is largely based on how we “feel” about our life, it’s important to make sure that what we’re doing is leaving us “feeling” happy and fulfilled.

Think about it, why do we set the goals that we set? Why do we do what we do?

Do we aim to be successful in order to feel like crap? Do we aim to connect with others in order to feel depressed and bored? Do we work out in order to feel angry and frustrated with ourselves?

Of course not, that would be insane. We do everything that we do in order to FEEL good. Otherwise what’s the point of it all?

So with that in mind, what do we truly need in order to feel happy?

Our happiness is NOT connected to anything material. Whether money, bigger house, dream car or 5 star holiday… None of that will cause anything more than a very short term “blip” of happiness until it becomes the norm again.

So what does matter? Well, I think happiness comes as a result of these 4 key areas: 

  • Mental Wellbeing and Peace
  • Physical Health & Fitness
  • A Purpose-Driven Challenge
  • Loving Connection with others

Recently I’ve not been feeling particularly happy, and it’s because I’ve been lacking in some degree in all 4 of those areas.
