PRINCIPLE #2 INVEST IN YOURSELF

In life I believe you don’t get what you really want if you’re not clear on your vision.

Your dreams and the clarity of your true vision are the catalyst to your success in business and in life; they provide the targets for success. When you start to picture yourself living your dreams you will start attracting it minute by minute and your subconscious mind will find a way to make that dream a reality. Life & death is in the power of the tongue – the words you speak are directly connected to the vision you see.

“If you ever want to become successful in life, find someone who’s done what it is you want to do and duplicate them.”

That’s a principle that I live by every single day. Find someone who’s been there, done what you are looking to do and who is willing to teach you how to do the same thing. Follow the path they are going to set for you. Success is much more obtainable when you have someone who is more experienced than you are and who has accepted personal responsibility for your success in life.

PRINCIPLE #3 DO THE WORK

For example, in business you want to find mentors who have the money and lifestyle you want, and build a relationship with them. Based on who they are they may or may not be personally accessible to you, but you can still be mentored by them, just from a far. Whenever you see them talking either in a crowd or on stage, or when reading their books or listening to their videos, always be prepared with your notepad and pen, they are priceless tools that will make you millions.

PRINCIPLE #4 KNOW YOUR VALUES

Without knowing your true values, you will perish by replaying your past, with all its failures. I always make my key decisions based on my true values, with definitiveness and purpose. I use my values to ensure I maintain balance and flow in life and to keep me on track with what matters most. 

Without an awareness around your true values and purpose in life you will likely focus on means goals rather than end goals. The problem with this is that when we focus on our means goals (means to an end) we will nearly always make the wrong decisions for ourselves. 

These decisions will most often lead to a very unfulfilled life with a constant awareness around the fact we are not living a life of purpose and passion. When you define your true values they will become a barometer when making key decisions. As a result, you are much more inclined to make the right decision which in turn will lead to true fulfilment.

Simply put the deposit is first, the withdrawal comes later. You have to decide what you’re willing to give up temporarily to get what you picture. …success is not easy or convenient. However… I believe success is very simple to obtain if you do the work.

It’s not necessarily easy to build a business, but it is SIMPLE. Everything in life is about giving and receiving, if you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly. If you give a lot you’ll get a lot – a simple reality!

1. A LIFESTYLE VISION

Money on its own won’t cut it. Although a lifestyle vision is very material, it’s fine for now. You don’t need to figure out your life’s purpose just yet (Although if you have that’s great!), you just need to tap into something that truly makes you jump out of bed in the morning.

What motivates you? If it’s cleaning the world’s oceans, fantastic. If it’s a lamborghini, also fine. Honour where you’re at.

Money doesn’t motivate you. Who wakes up and thinks “I can’t WAIT to have 1 million small, green rectangular bits of paper! Life will be so good then!”? 

If that motivated someone, just give them a million in monopoly money and they’d be ecstatic. If we’re motivated by “money”, we’re motivated by what the concept of money MEANS to us.

WHAT OTHERS SAY:

And get clear on your IDEAL DAY. Your TYPICAL day. You need to be working towards building a LIFE you love, not just one event (Like a dream holiday, or buying a Lambo, or house). 

Sure you might get that material thing, but if you only set that as the goal without getting clear about how you’re living day to day, you may well inadvertently build a business that earns you lots of money but keeps you trapped in a lifestyle you hate. 

Do you want location freedom? Then don’t start building a business that requires you to have an in-house team in an office somewhere, or meet clients face to face in specific locations, or stock products yourself. 

Do you want time freedom? Then don’t build a business that falls apart when you stop focusing on it. Automation will be the priority here if you want time freedom.

And are you looking for financial freedom? Then you certainly don’t want a coaching or consulting business. With a coaching/consulting model, when you stop working you stop earning. You’re still trading time for money. 

I have an Affiliate business and an Ecommerce business. And I learnt how to build them both from a company that has taught thousands of others to do the same.

2. A COMMITMENT

You must make the decision that under ABSOLUTELY NO CIRCUMSTANCES are you going to give up on bringing your Lifestyle Vision into being. 

The life you live is a result of your consistent DAILY actions and habits. You need to make the decision that you’re going to build the right habits, and stick to them no matter what. 

When you commit, you give yourself your word. And you mean it. 

So the WHAT, is consistent daily action towards your goal. Building the right habits, educating yourself, modelling others… It’s WHAT you do every day. 

And finally, the HOW. How are you going to achieve your goal? You need to create a plan that will move you towards your lifestyle vision, and stick to it. 

If your lifestyle vision includes time, financial and geographical freedom, how have others achieved that before? Find the answers. You may well learn that Ecommerce and Affiliate Marketing are two business models that are by far the most effective for creating that result. 

Then you may want to model other people who have achieved that result. HOW did they do it? WHAT did they do each day to do it? Where did they learn their skills from? Did they have mentors? What training and support did they get? Were they part of a community? 

Find someone who’s achieved what you want to achieve, and follow them. If you take the same actions they took, you can get the same result that they got.
