GROWTH MINDSET VS FIXED MINDSET

GROWTH MINDSET VS FIXED MINDSET

Understanding growth mindset vs fixed mindset, begins with understanding the mental framework that we operate within, in our day to day life.

Most of us default to a certain way of thinking. And through the context of growth mindset and fixed mindset, one will allow us to achieve anything that we set our minds too, and the other will keep us firmly trapped in place.

And the fascinating thing is that we can use empowering questions to completely flip the switch on which mental framework we’re operating within.

FIXED MINDSET

A typical example of fixed mindset would be to ask “What resources do I have at the moment (Money / time / contacts / skills etc), and what can I do with those resources?” - And then setting your goals based on that.

GROWTH MINDSET

A typical example of growth mindset would be to ask “What is it that I truly want to create in my life, would resources would i need in order to make that happen, and how do I go about acquiring those resources?”

Completely different question, asked from a different perspective, that will yield an ENTIRELY different outcome.

Get into the habit of looking at the questions you’re asking yourself when you’re setting your vision of the future, and the goals which will act as the stepping stones to getting there.

NEVER, EVER compromise on what you actually want, based on what you currently have. What you’re capable of achieving is absolutely NOTHING to do with what resources you currently have at your disposal.

If you want to make something happen, go out and create the resources that you need to make it happen.
